Dear Parents/Carers,
At last we have achieved a dry school whilst all around was flooded ? the first year I think when the weather has not caused any damage. We have obviously successfully repaired all areas!!
Our School Council have welcomed Reception children for the first time this year. The representatives chosen by the children are Hannah and Mackenzie from from Class 2 and Beatrice and Manu from Class 3. Well done ? I am sure thay will be coming up with lots of good ideas!!
Please will parents/carers obtain a CRB application form from the office so that summer trips can go ahead. At present we do not have enough parent/carer helpers and trips may have to be cancelled. They take about six weeks to process so now is time to get this done.
We have been awarded the National Healthy Award and Sports Award so congratulations to Miss Beesley and Miss Oram for leading the school in these projects!!!!!!!
We will endeavour to open the school earlier if the heavens open when many of you are waiting outside in the morning but if it is persistently raining first thing then try and arrive between 8.45 and 9.00am when you will be able to come straight in out of the rain.
Clubs ? Circus Skills will start next Wednesday 3.30pm until 4.15pm for 10 children
- Judo Club on Wednesday morning at 8.00am has places left (£38 until Easter)
- Art Club starts next week on Monday 3.30pm ? 4.00pm
Please contact the Office to book children in - first come first served but new children for the Art Club please.
A reminder that children should wear school uniform if possible please and certainly not jeans to school.
Mrs Stevens will be working Monday to Wednesday as from the 22nd January in Class 3 and job sharing with Mrs Jill Vowles until half term whilst we advertise for an excellent replacement for Miss Brent. Many of you may remember Mrs Vowles who used to teach here full time in Reception about four years ago. Miss Brent will be taking over Class 6 on the 22nd January and has already been covering in this class for Miss Crowley?s Deputy Head time, so knows the children well!
Just to remind everyone that I am seconded to Knowle Park Infant and Juniors from 22nd January for Monday to Thursday each week so I will be here (thankfully!) each Friday. Miss Crowley will be taking over the mantel of Acting Head! for the rest of this academic year.
I think that?s all for now! Enjoy those moments of sunshine!
Best Wishes,
