Dear Parents/Carers,
Bingo night was fantastic and we had a very positive PTFA Annual General Meeting on Tuesday night. Mr and Mrs Ratcliffe?s splendid account-keeping showed us that we have reached £9,071 pounds! Huge thanks to Mrs Priddis, Mrs Harding and the many other dedicated members, not forgetting the rest of you who support us so generously.
We also thanked Mrs Lippik, who stepped down as Chair, and welcomed Mrs Priddis as the new Chair, Mrs Harding as the Vice-Chair and Mrs Kelly as the new Secretary. It was agreed that £1,000 could be spent on ?enrichment? events, such as storytellers and artists during Book Week in March. Dates for furture events will come next week.
Congratulations to Mrs Glanville, Mrs Fuidge and Mrs Smith who passed their PE exam yesterday with flying colours. They had to teach Classes 5 and 6 in front of rigorous external examiners. Thanks also to Miss Oram who has won a bid of £500 to be spent on percussion intruments.
Unfortunately Miss Beesley is taking a little longer to recover from her tonsilectomy. However Mrs Kenny has offered to stay on next week and the children in Class 7 are learning very well.
We had two sets of photographers in this week, who came as an ongoing result of our outstanding OFSTED report in the summer. We should appear in the free Council newspaper later this year and in tonight?s Evening Post.
The children have been having great fun learning ?Reach For The Stars? in assembly this week while we have been thinking about our talents and goals. For that reason I leave you with this thought:
? Reach for the stars, Climb every mountain higher, Reach for the stars, Follow your heart?s desire? And when that rainbow?s shining over you, That?s when your dreams will all come true!?

Best Wishes,
