2 Feb 2007 - Friday Letter
Friday 2nd February 2007 Ref: 19
Dear Parents/Carers,
Here are those exciting PTFA dates. I know you have all been waiting by your family calendars to slot them in!
? Friday 9th February 7pm - Ladies Night - £2.50 entry
? Tuesday 27th February - PTFA Meeting 7pm, Star and Dove
? Friday 16th March - Mothers? Day Coffee Morning
? Saturday 19th March - May Fayre
? Film Club for children - dates to be confirmed?
Lots of our wonderful children continue to be struck down by the ghastly bugs which are doing the rounds at the moment. Could we remind you about the new guidelines from the Local Authority which say that nobody should return to school until 48 hours have passed after their last ?incident?? We send our love to all of you who are still poorly.
We had a super meeting today with the Outside Classroom?s landscape acrchitect today and the Lord Mayor has been invited to open it on April 27th. It is looking fantastic and every Reception Child will plant either a lavendar or rosemary bush on April 24th.
Could we ask you again not to play on the apparatus before and after school as it is unsupervised and we are not insured for any accidents that might occur, although technically we would be held responsible for them.
Assemblies have been all about ?Sharing? this week. I have been inundated with little people telling me about how they have shared skipping ropes, fruit, puzzles, felt tips? it warms the heart. We launched the new ?Quiet Room? at lunchtime, where two children from each class can choose to go and do peaceful activities in Class 1 during lunchtime. It seems to be going down a treat. We also run a ?Top Table? where two children from each class, chosen by their dinner lady, eat on a special table as a ?thank you? for being fantastic the day before.
Best Wishes,
